April 2025 Employees of the Month
Congratulations to our April Employees of the Month, Dawn K., LPN of FL and Maci H. of TX! Dawn and Maci were chosen for showcasing the HALOS values during the month of April.
“Maci is truly a HALOS Champion. She is incredibly attuned to AOC team members’ overall satisfaction and workplace wellbeing, and she is constantly striving to ensure everyone feels our HALOS culture in their day-to-day. Whether she is helping teams spoil their employees and client families or taking the initiative to recognize and love members of the AOC team for their efforts, Maci is constantly brainstorming new ways to spread HALOS far and wide. She is always listening to everyone she connects with and takes the initiative to ensure employees are loved in a way that aligns with their own personal preferences. Maci lives and breathes HALOS in the workplace and in her personal life, and the love and support she offers to Angels of Care teams nationwide is truly appreciated and valued.”
“Following her initial head-to-toe assessment at the start of her shift, Dawn found her patient happy and stable. Shortly after, she observed a bout of emesis and responded quickly. As his grandmother suctioned him, Dawn noted wet lung sounds. After another round of suctioning and repositioning him upright for postural drainage, his lung sounds cleared. Despite initial improvement, Dawn noticed he had turned dusky with blue lips. Hearing no breath sounds, she immediately initiated CPR alongside Grandma. They continued CPR for four minutes until EMS arrived. Dawn quickly gathered all necessary life-saving equipment and followed the ambulance to the Children’s Hospital, where he was later medi-flighted to a larger hosputal. Thanks to Dawn’s and Grandma’s swift response and teamwork, he is now home and doing well.”
