Celebrating HALOS Week: Honoring the Heart of Angels of Care
At Angels of Care Pediatric Home Health, our values are more than just words—they’re the foundation of everything we do. Each year, we come together to celebrate those values during HALOS Week, a special, weeklong tribute to the people and principles that make Angels of Care a truly extraordinary place to work and receive care.
HALOS stands for Heart, Advocacy, Love, Outreach, and Speed, and each day during HALOS Week is dedicated to celebrating one of these values. Through daily activities, team shout-outs, stories, and surprises, we reflect on how each value guides us in serving our clients and clinicians, supporting one another, and fulfilling our mission.
A Week of Meaningful Celebration
Heart Day | Monday
We kick off the week with “Heart,” because our clients are the heart of everything we do. This day is focused on fundraising for foundations that support children with complex medical needs through shopangelsofcare.com.
Advocacy Day | Tuesday
On Tuesday, we spotlight “Advocacy.” By raising funds for each state of service’s Political Advocacy Committee, as well as select foundations, we proudly celebrate the role we play in being a voice for those we serve.
Love Day | Wednesday
Wednesday is all about “Love!” We take time to appreciate the deep care and compassion our teams show—not just to our clients, but to each other. At Angels of Care, we believe loved employees love what they do—and it shows in every interaction. On Love Day, we presented awards to employees who have been with Angels of Care for over 20 years and hosted a Love Day Message Board for office employees to give shout-outs to teammates across the nation who have made an impact in the lives of their fellow employees, field clinicians, and client families.
Outreach Day | Thursday
Thursday highlights “Outreach,” as we honor our commitment to giving back. Whether it’s through volunteering, community events, or just lending a helping hand, our teams demonstrate that we’re not just a company—we’re part of a bigger community.
Speed Day + Employee Appreciation Day | Friday
We round out the week with “Speed.” Our client families and field clinicians rely on timely care and swift action, and we recognize those who act with urgency and excellence when it matters most. Therefore, we kick-start Employee Appreciation Day with a Speed Challenge in which the office with the best speed walking time receives our annual Speed Day Challenge trophy!
A Grand Finale: Employee Appreciation Day
HALOS Week concludes with Employee Appreciation Day, one of our most beloved annual traditions. It’s a chance to say a heartfelt thank-you to our incredible staff for their dedication, resilience, and the difference they make in so many lives. From parties to fun surprises to our much-anticipated annual car giveaway, we go big—because our team deserves it!
HALOS Week is a powerful reminder that when we live our values, we create something truly special—not just for our clients, but for every member of the Angels of Care family.
