Congratulations to our January Employees of the Month, Angie M. of TX and Kira H., LPN of PA! Angie and Kira were chosen for showcasing the HALOS values during January.

“One of the ICM team members recently said about Angie: ‘Angie has gone absolutely above and beyond for our patient. She is ON TOP of communication. She is constantly staying in contact with multiple different people, teams, and departments to ensure that our kiddo gets what they need to be set up for success. She is always readily available to help at any time. Angie deserves all of the recognition in the world. I am so thankful for her. Angie is #1!!'”

“Kira has been a life-changing match for her client. This client came to us having frequent ataxia events and seizures resulting in frequent emergency room visits/hospitalizations, refusing to take medications/spitting them out, resulting in more frequent and prolong events, and many aggressive behaviors and eloping. Since starting with this client, Kira has not only been able to get him to take his medications (since day 1!), but has been able to get him to routinely and consistently take his medications. She also worked closely with mom to come up with a effective and financially appropriate rewards program for this client to encourage good behaviors, reduce elopement attempts and take medications that has shown to be successful for mom when the nurse is not around and successful for his school nurse and teacher as well. He was hospitalized 1-2 times monthly to having been to the emergency room once in 3 months since starting services with Kira. This client responds so well to Kira and her interactions that on Christmas morning, he waited for her to arrive at 3:30 in the afternoon to open presents so that she could be there with him. His communication skills to express his feelings/wants/needs has improved to where he is attempting elopement minimally and mom has noticed a marked decline in his physically aggressive behaviors and mom gives all the credit to Kira’s influence. Mom says Kira has been an ‘angel sent from heaven’ and she ‘couldn’t image not having her help and support’ in so many aspects. She’s been a huge advocate for her client and his needs and a big support for his mother in the few months she’s been with them.”
