Weather Alert-North Texas/Jacksboro

top-s

As part of Angels of Care’s Emergency Preparedness Program, we want to ensure that our clients, staff and families stay alert and weather-aware over the next few days. Parts of North Texas, including Jacksboro, are under a tornado warning over the few days with heavy rain, thunderstorms, flooding, hail, and wind damage forecasted. Power outages and tree damage are expected due to the storms. Please plan today in the event you are unable to leave your home over the next several days. It is a good idea to keep your cell phones and other devices charged in the event of loss of power. Ensure you have enough food and water and prepare your vehicle with a full gas tank and emergency supplies like flashlights, blankets, and batteries. Plan to take any necessary office items home with you, such as your laptop and charger, in the event that you are unable to travel to your local branch office in the coming days. If icy roads prohibit you from traveling to your local office during business hours, please communicate with your supervisor immediately.

If you or anyone in your home needs assistance over the next week, please contact your local branch office or your local Red Cross @ https://www.redcross.org/, or local state and federal emergency management agencies @ https://www.disasterassistance.gov.
