Congratulations to North Carolina RN, Kai, for being selected as one of our 2025 DAISY Honorees! Kai was nominated by his client’s mother.
“Kai has been with our family for 2 years now and has been not only an invaluable member of our daughter’s care team, but has also become part of our family. Kai leads with his heart in everything he does and cares for Kinsley as if she was his own child. He has been there for our family through some of the hardest moments we’ve faced and has advocated for Kinsley to ensure she has the best care possible in every space she is a part of.
Kai will stay late, come in early and hop in at a moment’s notice to ensure that Kinsley is taken care of and has every opportunity she wants to be a kid and access her environment in a way that is safe for her. When new symptoms or issues pop up, Kai puts in an effort to research and help us make sure we leave no stone unturned to figure out what is going on. Kai has also formed a bond with our older daughter and makes sure that she feels seen and heard during tough moments we are facing as a family. He has also been there to provide respite so that my husband and I can take a moment to breathe while making sure we know Kinsley is well taken care of. I truly do not know where our family would be without Kai and cannot thank him enough for the dedication, love and support he has shown our family.”
